Who Am I?

Hi, I'm Janice Gentles-Jones owner of the company, JGJ Consulting. I help business owners leverage technology for online and offline success.  Through consulting and training, I have over 13 years experience showing professionals and business owners how to use technology for business success.

About JGJ Consulting

In my quest to further share my passion for educating professionals on the use of technology, I started the company, JGJ Consulting, which helps business owners leverage technology for online and offline success. My company specializes in Joomla website development and computer training for business owners and non-profit organizations.  I work with a team of support personnel who helps me to create a customer-focused, professional experience for my clients.

Who Do I Help?

I work with business owners and organizations through consulting and training. I believe visibility and credibility is the key to online success so I offer Joomla website development and Online Success Map consulting for solopreneurs such as speakers, coaches and consultants who are looking to use their website as a lead-generating, marketing tool and not a traditional static 'brochure website'.  I also help associations and organizations develop a website presence that builds credibility and facilitate interactions with their members, donors and prospects.

How Am I Different

What makes me stand out from others who do what I do is that I approach technology from a business goals perspective. No matter how great a technology is, it loses its value if it doesn't support your business goal. Most often people choose a technology because it's the latest and greatest but get stuck with a tool they can't or don't use because they never really tied it to their goals. I help business owners identify and use technology that can help them meet their business goals.

My Background

I have a Master's degree in Instructional Technology from New York Institute of Technology and a Bachelor's degree in Political Science from Queens College. I led the IT Training and Helpdesk department for a large New York pharmaceutical firm for 7 years and have conducted computer training for more than 6,500 people over the span of my career.  For the past three years I've worked exclusively with small businesses helping them to develop a professional web presence and leveraging technology in their business.

On A Personal Note

I am very blessed. I am a mom to a 5 year old son and a 10 month old daughter, a wife to wonderful, supportive husband, a sister to an awesome young woman who is one of my dear friends, a daughter to a loving and encouraging father and friends with some really awesome, intelligent, supportive, down-to-earth people.
