How To Upload Multiple Images and Documents In Joomla PDF Send Print

Applications Used

Joomla 1.5, eXtplorer

Instructions

Description

Although Joomla has a built-in media manager, I find it much easier to manage uploading multiple images and files using the Joomla extension, eXtplorer.  The instruction below shows you how to upload files using eXtplorer.

Step By Step

1) Login to the backend of your website.

2) Click Components from the menu.

3) Click eXtplorer.

4) Under Directory Tree, click on the folder that you're uploading your files to.

Try to save your images in a directory under the images/stories directory.  This is the default folder that Joomla uses when you're using the Image Manager in the JCE Editor.

5) Click the Upload button.

The Upload Files window opens as shown below:

6) On the Upload file(s) tab, click the Browse button to find the file you want to upload.

7) Repeat Step 9 if you have multiple files to upload.

You can upload up to 7 files at one time.

8) Click Save to upload the files.

9) Click "Back To Joomla" link to exit eXtplorer.
