1. Login in to the Administrator area of your website
2. Click Components form the menu; then click VirtueMart.
3. Under Administration, click Products, and then click Add Product.
The Add Product window opens as shown below:
4. On the Product Information tab, fill in the following fields:
SKU Number: Give your product a sku number
Name: Type the name of your product
Categories: Select the category for your product
Product Price: Enter the price for your product
Short Description: Enter a short description of your product
Long Description: Enter a long description for your product
5. On the Product Images tab, in the Full Image field, click the Browse button and upload an image for your product.
6. Click the Apply button to save the product but still stay in Add Product window.
7. Under the Administration menu, click Products, and then click Add Image/File.
8. In the Upload A File window, complete the following steps:
Click the Browse button by the Filename field and select the file that you want to have as a download with your product.
In the File Type dropdown box, select Downloadable Product File (to be sold).
In the Upload to option field, select Download Path.
9. Click Save.
